The purpose of our non-profit company is
- The advancement of medical science and the direct benefit of society as a whole.
- Cultivating and promoting clinical and basic research and its applications in medicine, primarily in hematology (in Greece and internationally), in collaboration with the relevant bodies.
- The organization and coordination of research efforts aimed at better understanding the etiology, pathophysiology, immunobiology, and epidemiology of hematological diseases, as well as the best therapeutic treatment of these diseases.
- The organization of teaching and information on hematological diseases.
- The fullest and fastest possible utilization of advances in medical science for the benefit of society as a whole, both in diagnosis and treatment, as well as in the fields of education, prevention, and health promotion.
6. The organization of all kinds of scientific events such as: announcements, lectures, scientific gatherings, Greek and international conferences, with the aim of freely circulating ideas and knowledge on the subject of the Society.
7. Raising awareness and mobilising public opinion and public administration bodies on the relationship between health, society and the environment, as well as the search for a more meaningful ethic in the management of health issues.
8. Creating conditions for the prevention of hematological malignancies in population groups.
9. Contributing to the modernization of hospitals and other structures for the treatment of patients with hematological diseases.
10. Access for all citizens to information on hematological diseases, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, palliative care, and psychological, emotional, and practical support.
